Scott is a Certified
Public Accountant and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with
over ten years of public/private accounting as well as computer
consulting experience. Scott specializes in providing business/computer
consulting to a wide array of clients. His cross between accounting
and technology skills gives Scott a unique perspective.
During his career, Scott
has worked with Coopers & Lybrand in the Attestation Services Group
in Phoenix, worked
as a Controller for a wholesale/retailer, and as Vice President
of Operations of an Internet company startup. These experiences
have provided him with a strong understanding of the operational
complexities and system requirements associated with running a successful
organization. Scott assisted each of these organizations in defining
and implementing policies and procedures that led to increased growth
and profitability.
Upon selling his Internet
startup, Scott returned to the consulting environment in 1999. Since
then he has focused on helping his clients become more technologically
effective, while always keeping in mind the importance of the accounting
structure. He has done this through evaluating systems and procedures
that are currently in place to determine the effectiveness of the
existing structure and how it could be improved. He has also worked
with clients to define, plan and implement technology solutions
that will best fit the organization and its goals. Some examples
include assistance with software selection, implementation and training,
evaluating and developing technology plans, network administration
assistance, developing virtual private networks to allow remote
access, developing websites and providing e-commerce solutions.
In the last year, Scott
received his Certified Intuit Master Builder ProAdvisor status.
This has enabled him to begin helping clients to implement Master
Builder.
Scott received a B.S.B.A.
in Accounting from the University of Arizona and is a member of
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Scott enjoys
coaching his daughters' soccer teams. Scott serves in both leadership
and teaching responsibilities in his church.
